Blair Regional Nurse Practitioner Association Awards 2022 Scholarship

The Blair Regional Nurse Practitioner Association is pleased to announce Mandy Lasinsky as the recipient of the 2022 Nurse Practitioner Student Scholarship Award.  Ms. Lasinsky recently completed her graduate studies at Saint Francis University earning a Mast of Science in Nurse as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).  Ms. Lasinsky holds an associate degree in nursing from Mount Aloysius and a bachelor of science degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Her nursing career has included working as a registered nurse in Altoona, Ebensburg and most recently in Loretto as Clinical Service Coordinator in the student health center at Saint Francis University.  In her scholarship application, Ms. Lasinsky told the BRNPA "I would like to work in Family Practice or Urgent Care where I see a lack of resources for those without transportation, insurance, or health literacy". 

The Blair Regional Nurse Practitioner Association intends to award a scholarship annually to a nurse practitioner student who willingly commits to practicing in Central Pennsylvania upon graduation.

This year's scholarship was presented at the BRNP Annual Conference, "Rounding the Curve Thru the Railway of Healthcare", at the Casino in Lakemont on May, 12, 2022.
